Has anybody ever used leds on exterior lights? Ive replaced my brake light bulbs with led and they work but the check bulb light is still on. I would like to keep the leds but I also would like the check light bulb to work so I know when one is out.

 

you need to put a resistor in so that the system sees that they are taking power (burned out bulb takes no power) which is going to make it so that it won't see that the bulb is out, so in short you can get the warning light to go off but won't let you know if the led is out. I currently have led in the ditch light for the turn signals, did have them in the parking lights in front but the cops didn't like the blue lights on the front of my car.....

 

There's a relay offered to replace the incadescent relay so you don't have to fab those resistors in....
