2nd Gen brake lights always on

Ok well after getting the car started and driving it up and down the street my wife noticed that the brake lights are always on. Because it was getting so late into the evening I didnt have much time to look into the issue, but I believe this could be caused by either a faulty or stuck brake light switch. Other than that what else could cause the lights to stay on? Just want to make sure I have a game plan for this weekend when I start to troubleshoot this next problem.

I would check the switch first, might just need to be adjusted, I think if you unplug it and they go out it's the switch...

Well I was able to look into the problem a little more this weekend an now I now what all the little white crumbs were on the drivers side floor board. The rubber plug that goes on the brake peddle has completely fallen apart. This plug is what makes contact with the brake light switch. So with nothing making contact with it the lights stay on. Cheap little $4 fix with parts from Advance Auto.
