Stalling issue
Stalling issue
I have a 1985 maxima that sometimes will miss and stall after being parked for around 15 minutes. It will restart and clear up a few seconds later. No problems when it’s cold, only after it sits for a few minutes after being driven awhile. I’m suspecting the coil is the problem. I’ll test the ohms on it later. Just checking if anyone else has experienced this.
Sorry, I have no solution, just hoping your solution (when you find it) will work for me.
My '86 also does the same sometimes. I did not realize it, but now that you mention it, it is only when it is warm; never the first start of the morning. It does happen after even 1 hour left parked, but yes, more often after 10-15 minutes. And if I forced it to remain on by revving it, then it even stalled later when moving slowly (near traffic light, etc.), a couple of times. So then I never move until that hesitation goes away.
I had brought it to the attention of my mechanic, but he could find nothing wrong. I hope to hear more from you when you find out, and I'll go to my mechanic with that info. (I don't work on my car myself
)
Thanks for sharing, and good luck.
