Fuel Pump installation

Changing the fuel pump on my new-to-me 1988 Maxima to try to get it to run and was wondering if the orange hose that connects to the streainer connects to anything else on the other end? It fell off the old strainer before I had a chance to check.

You "sweet" the conversation but you still have no clue?
1. The inlet of the pump is the strainer.
2. The outlet side of the pump is a black rubber hose with clamps
3. The Orange hose is a fuel return hose! It dumps the excessive quantity of fuel back in the tank.
