Could anyone help me in my search for parts? I have a brown leather '84 with the electronic dash. Auto trans.

I need the plastic housing that encases the shifter and the switches in the center console. Basically everything between the seats.

I also need to replace the window switch on the driver door! The window doesn't seem to work at all.

Thank you! I'm not a car guy and know next to nothing about importing parts or where to look other than eBay. I don't even know how people find these cars in junk yards.

 

Welcome to the world of old Japanese cars lol, most mechanical parts will need to be rebuilt and most trim or interior pieces that can't be repaired will need to be sourced. I've owned numerous oddball JDM cars/trucks and have sourced parts from allover the world, if you let me know your location (USA, Canada, AUS, etc) I potentially have connections for parts. For the window issue, your best bet is to have someone that knows electrical pinout power to the window motor with a battery, if it works you know its likely the switch that is the issue, if the motor doesnt work with power jumped still it's likely the motor itself which would be best to rebuild. If it is the switch, you can easily open it up and clean up the contacts and rebuild it to fix it.

For interior parts Thailand and Saudi Arabia have lots of new old stock, i've done hundreds of orders over the last couple years without issue. You can try Datsun Facebook groups as well and there will be people that will assist you for parts or will have the interior pieces youre looking for. you can also try Pick-n-Pull (picknpull.com) to see if Pick N Pull local to you has a 1984, you will have to search under Datsun or Nissan though as these go by 1984 Nissan Maxima as well as 1984 Datsun 810 as well

 

Pick N Pull by me just got an '84, looks like it's sat in the bush for 20 years but if you want the window switch or anything else lmk. I can prob go this week some time and grab some small things
