1990 VG Part-out

Wifey and I made a mutual decision to 'call it a day' on getting my Max to run. I tried rebuilding the tranny on the Max, but when all was said and done, the stick gets stuck a.k.a doesn't shift. Usually, I'm the type of guy that will fiddle with it until I get it fixed. But since trannys aren't really my schtick and my wife pretty much said "Fix-it-or-else", I give up on it and now i am looking to go in a different direction.

With that in mind, she was just gonna have the junkyard haul it away for $40, but I think I'm gonna see if I can part it out to more deserving individuals and reap the benefits of increased Maxima owner/friend relations.

I'm gonna also post this on Craigslist and the NW forum, so keep that in mind when asking for available parts.

As a side note, because of where my car is located (in front of my friends' house), the car will probably only be available until one of the following occur:

Enough parts get removed as to make the car unmovable/unservicable
I get little/no requests for parts
The HOA (home owner's association) requests that we move the car
Local law-enforcement asks to have the car removed.

Here's the particulars on my car

1990 Nissan Maxima SE
Color = white (not the pearl color)
Interior = grey cloth, non-powered seats
Engine = VG30E w/approx. 235k mi.
Tranny = 5SP Manual (broken)
No VLSD
W/ABS

Off the top of my head, the only thing NOT available right now are the headlights. That's because I have the E36 conversion and I've already got another Max in the works to put those on. I have the OEM's, but just the headlight part - NOT the bracket or mounting hardware.

PM me or drop a line here with any parts requests, and I'll do my best to answer any questions.

I am looking for the "tinted" tails off one of these......are they on here, or are they the bright red ones? I have the center piece with chrome surrounds for the 91's, just looking for the matching tails.

I'll double-check on that, j_dragon78, and get back with you. Off the top of my head, I think they're the tinted ones. PM me with a price offer.

Wow dude, i have the same problem with my 5 spd rebuild. I'm going to see about getting it fixed though. The junkyard should give you more than 40 bucks though for the whole car

That's what I thought, jruss1601. But the two yards nearby here are - IMHO - out to gouge people. I'm sure they know as well as I do that they will likely get 50-100x as much as the $40 they want for my Max. I can get that much just from the brand new CV axle I put in.
