Don't ask how I ended up w/ it, reading > me.
Up for sale is a BRAND NEW aftermarket OEM replacement for the 3rd gen wireless entry key fob. (IT says it's for a 94, I don't know if it's compatible w/ all 3rd gens)
It's the keylessride version, pictured below.

$22 shipped anywhere!!

3rd Gens never came with remote entry from the factory. At best they had the keyless entry pads on the GXE's.
Only owned one 4th gen and it's been a while. Don't recall if they came with remote entry from the factory. Assuming they did, the manufacturer of this Remote may be referring to the early 4th gens produced beginning in 1994 or their date is just simply off. I see your note indicates the FOB cites 3rd gen - definately wrong.

Thanks for the information, I will call the manufacturer today and find out what's goin on, because the listin definitely said 1994 Nissan Maxima (again, reading > me on that part), I really thing keylessride dropped the ball on it....
Well first call was useless, time to continue onto this wild goose chase...

Oooo...Never knew that was a dealer option. Seems like there was a thread at one time listing dealer options for the 3rd gen.......I don't recall seeing that one on the list. Interesting!
I did some research....appearently there were some '94's which had these keyless entry systems installed by the dealer. Given it was a dealer thing, we will likely never know the actual number of 3rd gen ('94's) that had this. Reality is though, it's so cheap just to buy and install one aftermarket now......
* Anyone strolling through reading this, just do a search and all kinds of threads will pop up regarding factory keyless on 3rd gens. And I myself have learned something new about 3rd gens....didn't think it was possible at this point! :-)

Lol @ you 3rd gen OGs.
I called up keylessride today and they're saying that 93-94 GXEs came with it from the factory, but the SE's did not come with a remote.
Truth? Fiction? Next time I call them I would like to have some more detailed information, because they seem very competent over there and I just sounded like an idiot.

Maybe the keypad is being mistaken for remote entry?? Regardless, good 2 way aftermarket systems are better than anything that came from the factory or dealer.. We kind of jacked this guy's thread. GLWS.
The attached address will link you to a list of Nissan keyfobs. One is listed for a 2/94 A32 (3rd gen max) for those in need.
