FS: 210 Amp Alternator for VE
FS: 210 Amp Alternator for VE
So I have a high power alternator that is built specifically for the VE, its a direct drop in. The case is identical to the OEM unit, the windings and regulator are all upgraded for the high power output. I have tested the output with a clamp on current meter, and it puts out way more than its rated at. I bought this from Stage Auto Electric in Florida years back and I only installed it a couple years ago and its been perfect, so its being sold with little mileage on it and like new. The store went out of business as far as I know, the alternator sold for $400, I'm going to let it go for $200 and half the shipping $15, for $215 all together. This alternator is for those of you with one or more high power amps, this is the ultimate solution if you were contemplating a second battery or a big capacitor. Its obviously really heavy and I will do a really good job packing it. If you buy this alternator I would just recommend upgrading the positive wire and the negative wire by piggy backing a second 4 or 8 guage wire to whats already there on the stock wiring (from the alternator to the battery). Its easy you just get some gold plated ring connectors from partsexpress and crimp them (with a vise or hammer) to some 4 or 8 gauge wire. Even though the alternator is grounded through its mounting bracket its still smart to run a wire from the ground screw on the alternator to the battery. I'll post a pic if anyone wants, but like I said its in a stock case so it looks like a regular OEM alternator, and it comes with the pulley.

YES!
Someone with Ballz
emailed you my email for paypal, please don't use a credit card use paypal balance or transfer from a bank account. I don't want to get hit with those stupid credit card fees. If you have to use credit card then add $8 to the $160.
Make sure you Address is correct with paypal!

No I don't. I don't take pictures of Multimeter outputs
But I remember it reading close to 200A at idle, and that was measuring just the large power wire, there was also the factory wire on the alt. too.
Of course the output will depends on how well you can load the electrical system.
If you have any questions don't hesitate.

Uh oh, that's 30 amps less than what a stock alternator should produce. His comment about not taking pictures of multimeter readings is a bit of a red flag, how many multimeters are capable of gauging 200 amps?
He probably never tested it, if he did, he would have said "load tester", not "multimeter". Sorry for pointing you to this thread man, hopefully you get that refund.

I've already spoken to him in PM. For them to bench test the alternator and try to make it push out 200AMP they would need a very impressive setup, it would require like a 20HP electric motor. Most of those bench testers are to see if an alternator is working or not, they are not for high current stuff.
And hectic, it a clamp on ammeter like this one so stfu
amazon link
I didn't sell him a bad alternator, he just went to people that don't know how to test high current stuff.
