some have over 200k but most people are in the 100k's now....as long as they are properly maintened regularly and its taken care of there shouldn't be any problems...

Engine life

I have about 190,000 miles on my 89 max. I replaced the transmission at 150,000 and everything still runs smooth. Does anyone know...How do I get more acceleration power? It seems like the gas pedal doesn't really work like it used to when it was new.

MODS?????

for better acceleration I'd say Protorque Torque converter, NOS(if you really wanna fly off the line), Valve Body recalibration, ECU upgrade.....etc. many of the cheaper bolt-ons won't significantly help off the line acceleration, but the above mentioned ones(which are more advanced than the traditional bolt-ons and/or more expensive to DO!) will definently get your off the line acceleration and torque WAY above stock!!!!

Hmmm..how much money did you spend on you max? my paint is coming off heavily and I'm thinking about repainting it and renew my body kit. It used to be a beautiful car on the outside, still is, but has the wear and tear appearance on the outside. The repaint and body kit repair cost 1200.00
any good?
