Solved the limp home thing but now...wtf?
I replaced my MAF sensor, and my car came out of "limp home" mode, but after about 15 minutes of driving, it refused to accelerate. If I pushed the pedal hard, it would bog down, but if I accelerated slowly, it would sputter and slowly climb. Then all of a sudden, it cleared up.
Any suggestions? The only other thing I can notice that is wrong, is that the exhaust is very loud, that might just be loose bolts though. Maybe

don't use any additives.. they're VERY hard on the injectors.
for the price of a fuel filter, you may want to switch it out again and see what that does. also check your fuel pressure to make sure it's where it should be. if there's a clogged filter or the pupm is failing, your pressure won't be right (duh!).. I believe it's about 43psi at idle, but don't quote me on that. it's mentioned in the FSM.

But I am thinking that it is more than that because even with it unplugged (before I changed it), it just did the 'limp home' thing, now it's worse. Maybe the one I bought is bad too. WHo knows?
Right about now, I feel like the guy trying to plug holes in the damn with my fingers...
Are the VE and VG fuel pumps the same? are they both located in the same place? I have an FSM, but it's in Dallas still in the box. Can I get a tool from auto zone to check the fuel pressure?

Okay, the exhaust noise was a loose connection between the cat and the catback. It's fixed, but the hesitation is worse than before I changed the MAF sensor. Now when it does it, I can hardly get the car going at all. <1500 rpm and it bogs down. I think my throttle cable is loose too. I think the hesitation might also be a loose or faulty connector. It seems that the hesitation goes away when I get out and wiggle the MAFS connector.
