its not a TV tuner, only a monitor. its only hooked up to a Dreamcast(soon will be X Box)...so theres really no need to "control it", other than power on and off. the Dreamcast connects to my audio/video splitter in my glove box and sends the video signal to the monitor and the audio to the headunit...so I get sound through the radio speakers and video on the monitor!

Definitely a sweey setup, the only problem i have with it it that it set the blasted headunit so low...... hmmmm might be a good idea to swap the HVAC controls and the headunit positions....

thats the beauty of having a remote control but really its not that far of a reach, although the OEM position is a lot more easier to access!

Yeah i agree ( i've got remote too) but changing CD's must be a pain if u don't have a changer, especially when in park!

looks good. Just i'm thinking that when you have to change a cd it will hit the shifter when in park. Clean the interior and it will look better

its in park in those pics...the CDs come in and out fine, only way something would hit the shifter is if I had a 12" vinyl on there.

Hey Brandon, I am getting ready to install a similar setup as DAMAX's. Do you have any detail on how you trimmed/framed in the screen and the HU? Any links to especially good posts?

Did you cut out the cig lighter plastic?..basically a cut along the bottom of the horizontal plastic separating the double din area from the lighter/ashtray???? I want to make sure before I pull out the jigsaw and mess stuff up.

thanks.

abs plastic around the screen and your right about the cig lighter, cut it across and it is a single din opening..

I just installed, TODAY, my in dash, flip out monitor. 7" Active Matrix display. But I still had to drill a little bit, but in a different area. Tommorrow, I am installing the DVD player, I will post pics when I take them!
