seat belt warning light

anyone had a problem with the seatbelt alarm going off constantly? Mine will go off every 5 or ten minutes when I'm driving, even when I'm buckled in properly. Any fixes would be greatly appreciated!!!

both are in good? if it still goes off then the sensor that tells the thing the seat belts are latched is going bad.

all seatbelt components are supposed to be covered under lifetime warranty from Nissan including these sensors

this seems to be a fairly common problem which has been discussed here many times before

I got mine fixed for free from the dealership. It hasn't chimed out of turn once since. The dealership should fix it for free, due to the seatbelt being defective.

have you guys ever had a problem where the seat belt will just lock for no reason and you have to screw with it a little bit to let you free?

happened a few times in my 93 altima...pretty dangerous cuz the belt stops at your neck and you're gagging. i hated it.
my 93 max hasn't failed yet, except the warning signal chimes once a day. i'll visit the dealership sometime.

Ding Ding

Whenever possible, I use the Maxima 'secret doorbell' to my advantage. "What's that ding-dong?", asks the passenger. "Oh, that's just Max. He gets very excited when there is a beautiful woman present".
Of course, when my wife asks me to fix it...

Just kiddin' honey!

LOL, good idea!

Otherwise getting it fixed for free from the dealership would be nice, I can practically smell jackal feces coming from the guys there tho, but nonetheless....I went for about a year with it not doing anything then summer comes around
