i heard nissan has a lifetime warranty on seatbelts. so i'd take it to the dealership and they should be able to fix it for free. my friend's 90 gxe also has this problem

Every 3rd gen MAxima has had/has/will have this problem. One of the front shoulder belts has a sensor that detects if the seatbelt has rolled back and locked. Over time, the sensor gets worn and can jiggle loose occasionally. Most Nissan dealers will fix it, but some will be ****** and say it's not covered, and will want to charge you. You can't replace the sensor, the whole rack assembly must be replaced. Or, you can do it my way and jump the sensor so it always thinks it's down. It took me 5 min, but I have lost the directions.
Why is your screen name Chris93se if you have a 93 GXE?
