removal of stock deck

removal of stock deck

just a newbie here

i was wonderiing how tough it was to remove the old deck (not bose) from my maxima? what involved in the process?

just a quick answer necessary, nothing in depth.

not too hard. need to pull out the trim around the radio and HVAC.
then 4 screws and out comes the radio and bracket.

check out the "FAQ" post at the top of this forum, it has webpages that answer lots of basic questions like this

I have pics on my website of how to get the headunit out

I took the stock deck out of my Max and put in a Kenwood w/C.D. Pretty easy. Yea Yea do a search I printed out directions with pictures from here. Umm don't forget to bypass the amp in the trunk.
Just one thing though w/o an amp the rear speakers ain't worth a damn.
