I have this squeaking and grinding noise
It is coming from the passenger side front wheel area. Would that be the tie rod making that noise because I noticed that the boot on the outer rod is crack and grease is leaking out??? It is just an annoying noise but the car still drives good.
Thanks for any help.

Re: I have this squeaking and grinding noise
Or are those the control arms that connect to the axle? That is what I think they are.

Maybe you mean the CV joint boots are leaking grease? You know, those critical joints that transmit motion from your engine to the wheels? Yeah, if they have been ripped and leaking for a bit, your axles are shot. Time to get new ones. And don't drive it much more until you get them fixed or they might just bind up and break something more expensive.

Re: Nope
The CV(axles) are fine it is the bar directly above but further back closer to the wheel well where the boot is it is a little boot. The CV joints have been replaced within the last year. I know the history on them.
