fuel filter question 300zx & maxima

Will a oem fuel filter that fits a 90 300zx and 90 pathfinder fit on a 90 maxima? I ask that because the filter for the 300zx and pathfinder is bigger than the one for the maxima. I am getting it for free but I will like to know if it will work and fit in place.

I've seen this discussed before, and I'm pretty sure it will fit. You should search and check, you should find your answer farily soon.

I know the 84-89 z31's work, it's what I'm using now, but will the 90's? I think that's when they changed the engine style, every search I did came up with 84-89 using the VG...

matt, any recommendations on oil filters? i'm currently using mobil 1 w/regular dino oil.
any ideas on switching to synthetic? i have 163.5K and was thinking like a quart of mobil 1 synthetic per oil change (1 syn, 3.5 or whatever dino, then 2 syn..etc...).

Just wondering whats the advantage of using a 300ZX fuel filter opposed to a stock VG fuel filter?

it's bigger, so it allows for more flow with less pressure drop/restriction.
no need unless you're modded enough that you need a higher flow filter.
