White smoke?

Hi,
I have a 1990 Nissan Maxima and it has been blowing white smoke for about 9 months now. It also turns two of my spark plugs white after about 1 month. I've taken it to two dealers and few mechanics and all no one seems to be able to give me an answer. There is no Coolant mixing the engine. I think it may be a valve problem. Does anybody have any suggestions. Your help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Sounds like bad valve seals. Cheap parts but labor is going to be expensive.

are you sure no coolant is leaking in there? Burning oil is not white..got to be coolant. Head gasket? That's my bet.

That's my $0.017..... Water/antifreeze is the only thing in a car that I can think of that would burn white.

This sounds like a bad injector o-ring.

Does it get bad gas mileage? have the injectors ever been serviced or replaced?

I would reccomend that you get the full fuel injection tune up kit, that comes with all the o-rings and gaskets to do the job.

Please 'splain how a bad injector o-ring makes white smoke. I would think you would end up with leaks at the injector boss and possibly lean conditions..why white smoke?

It might not be white smoke, but it does smoke. When I look in the Rear view mirror at night, I see smoke in the headlights that are behind me. It is running lean because white spark plugs are a result of a lean mixture. The injectors have never been serviced after 210,00 miles, so I will give it a try.
Thanks for your help.
