Ok, guys and gals
Here is the story. I sell these Nokyas through my business and I have had very good luck with them. I wanted to be objective on the subject of bulbs so here goes...
I drive a 99 GXE, have had my Nokyas in for a while, more than six months, less than a year, with a FACTORY harness. No problems so far, no burning up, no smoke, no crap.
Customers vehicles with no problems
96 GMC
95 CONTOUR
97 CIVIC
99 ALTIMA
00 ALTIMA
97 AVENGER
99 SEBRING
And about hundred or so or more vehicles with no reported problems with these lights. Bulb returns on exploded bulbs (note I said bulbs, not harness problems)
00 INTEGRA
99 CIVIC
00 LEXUS
harness burning up on only ONE VEHICLE AND I SWEAR ON EVERYTHING I STAND FOR
97 AVENGER
That's it
NO more no less, that is the only vehicle we have had a problem with a burned harness, with Nokya bulbs inside. If in fact anyone wants upgrade harnesses I do sell them for
$31 shipped anywhere for any vehicle, made by APC.
I just wanted everyone to see what the + and - can be when having aftermarket bulbs.
Thanks for listening

I bought some headlight harnesses from you recently that were Nokya brand. Do you no longer carry the APC harnesses?? All you had when I went in were the Nokyas. Are these as good as the APC or not?
I figured how to simply up grade the stock wire harness. It all has to do with the inadiquite ground wire. There is only one ground that feeds the high and low beam. With too much current flowing through the ground, the wire will heat up. I recently installed new horns, I ran a dedicated ground wire (directly to the battery). So since this ground is only used when the horn is being on, I decided to jumper the ground from the horn and piggy-back it to the ground wire right next to the headlight harness. I have to say the results were quite impressive, There is a BIG difference in high beam performance, and also the fog lights are quite brighter (85watt). The fog lights were affected b/c of the fact that I piggy-backed the ground connection, This allows for current to run back down the stock headlight ground and feed the ground to fogs, or it simply supplemented the current running to the fogs.
My 2 cents

All you have to do is get a good connector (I used a gold plated one) and some 16guage wire (black) and run it from the the neg. on the batt. then spice into the negative wire that is next to the headlight wiring harness, there are three wires one for high beam, one for low beam, and then the ground wire (you should solder it) and run from that same ground wire that you used, over to the other headlight. If you cannot figure out which wire is + or - on the harness, u should use a volt meter. I hope that helps, its really a very simple job.
