Brakes...

Ok I just had a 30000 service done, got the coolant and transmission changed and flushed and a new fuel filter as well as replacment of some drive belts. They said my spark plugs were fine and I just changed the air filter. Anyway they told me all my brakes are at 15% My rear left drum makes some thudding noises as I come to a stop usually when it is a pretty sudden stop. Last time that happened discount tire told me I had 2 percent left and I had the rear brakes completley re-done; lining, hardware and cylinders. That was at 96446 miles. Right now I have 102000. Anyway what should I do about that? Thanks.

Since you have less than 4,000 miles on the brake job I would take it back to where the brake work was done. There should be some type of warranty on their work.

Do you have ABS? there's a very few 3rd gens with drums on the back and ABS.. but anyway, the ABS sensors have a tendency to do some weird stuff when they get dirty... could be your culprit.

In any case, take the car back to the place you had the first work done and tell them they didn't fix the problem.
