my front left speaker makes this awful high pitch noise, it isnt loud but loud enough where it annoys the ****** **** outta ya. i thought bose was suppose to be good or somethin, someone should call these ***** up and tell them to hook us up with some NEW bose speakers! but whats the problem with the speaker? amp?

it's the amp. Capacitors basically dry up over time and need to be replaced.
Look in the General Maintenance Thread for more info.
I've reworked 2 amps out of my 90. If you can solder, you can do this for about $2 worth of caps per amp.

Where can you find replacement Bose amps for $20? Because I'd like to buy some too!
I disagree with the comment that says "an aftermarket is soo much better" than the Bose. Aftermarket can be much better than Bose, or it can be much worse. Depends on what you put in and how much you spend. I doubt that a $150 or $200 system (both head unit and speakers) from Walmart or something is going to be better than Bose. But spend enough money and buy top brand equipments, and yes, it can be much better! Not all of us can (or want to) spend that much, though. The stock Bose (in perfect working order, of course!) isn't bad at all, especially for OEM stereo. It's better than most cars in its day, and is good enough for most people that's not an audiophile. To many, fixing the Bose is still the best option.
