I've herad a lot fo talk lately about engine mounts, and replacing them, filling with urethane, ect. Can someone show me a pic and explain exactly what everyones talkign about? I figure form the name it's where the engine is bolted to the frame, but I don't see how doing mod's to it would gte any performance, I am just prolly wrong about what it is. Thanks, and don't make fun too much.

Its not about HP gains......

its about the engine staying firmly planted when acclerating hard!! (heres my understanding of it) when you punch the gas the engine "jumps" up and so everytime you punch the gas really hard the stock mounts get their asses kicked even more! so the new urethane mounts will keep the engine "planted firmly" when you punch it!! I've heard of the method of taking the mounts out and doing the urethane method yourself, but too much for me!! just wait a few months for the Energy Suspension mounts or inserts(not sure what they're making for our gen) they are making for our cars, they shouldn't cost that much at all and will take time and trouble out of doing it yourself!!

I spoke with Kaleb about it this weekend, and the Enegery Suspension mounts should be out by the end of January from what he was saying. They will be complete mounts, NOT simply inserts. Price should be under $100/set from what he said, but that's not definite until they're on the market.

Price on stock mounts are about $70 each for engine mounts and I think $80 each for tranny mounts.
