i have given up. engine stalls, dies whenever it wants to. it won't start until my check engine light turns on kicking the fuel pump on, whenever it wants to. i have replaced everything from my parts car. maf and everything. though my parts car was hit in front end, possible for two bad maf's??? new fuel pump, differnt relays, new fuel filter and pressure regulator, but i don't think it is fuel anymore either ignition or something else. any ideas please help!!!!!

oh yea, i'm on my second tranny and it slips everyonce ina while too, related or just another great problem along with the other???? tried different ecu's and tranny ecu. but shutting car off and restarting fixes tranny problem????

When does it die, when you're at a stop? How does it behave when it's going to die?

 

ah ha. That just caught my eyes. On my Stanza, i was having a similar problem, the car wouldn't start becaue when you turned the key, the dash lights wouldn't come on, meaning no current. Anyway, long story short, the problem is the very bottom relay on the drivers side fuse block (i had to wiggle it before i could start the car). Replace the relay (probably best to replace them all since you have it). If your wondering, stanzas are very similar to maximas electrical wise, body (styling inside and out), and suspension..just different engines.

 

you know i thought that was the problem and i did replace but it happened again so i was thinking something was causing that relay to go bad but haven't figured out what yet
