245 is a wide tire, why not get 235's

Im getting 225/35/19's in a month or two.
ive got 235/45/17's now and theres no prob,

and I had my freinds 20's on my car , just to see if they would fit, he had 245/35/20's and it was tight but they fit.

depends on the offset of the rims.

At one point, I had 18s with 225/40 size tires. They were 9 inches wide and rubbed in the back. I needed a 5/8" spacer in the back. I hated the 18s. They were so heavy and made my car drive/ride like crap. They looked good, though. I have 17s with 225/50 tires on now... much more cusion.

I dunno those are the tires they came with. To be honest, tire sizing is a little over my head. All I know is that the two numbers (225&40) are relative to each other in regards to the sidewall height and tread width. A lot of people think that a 225 width tire only fits on 'X' width rim, but it all has to do with tread width, not actual tire width. The only set number is the diameter (18).

wow 20's fit on the maxima? Was there any rubbing at all? did you take it for a test drive? The Max would be sick on some 20's although prolly would feel every stone on those 245/35/20 tires. Man 35 is a insanely small profile would it be safe to drive? I would love to have 20's on the max but thats way too much loot. Just my 2 cents.
