How can I remove rear deck 3rd brake light?

I've got thus far on getting to the rear speakers, but I can't get that rear blake light off. thewre are two screw things on the side, which undone, don't seem to do much, but on the top of the inside of the trunk, it looks like they are screwed down from the inside! I can't figure out how to get them off... I tried pulling, but I didn't want to break it

exactly what craig said. i had to remove mine a few weeks ago because one of the bulbs went out and i had to replace it. it is kind of a pain to remove, but just follow craig's instructions and BE PATIENT with it!! once both clips are out, it will just slide out and you can disconnect the wires and remove it completley, so it will be out of your way.

So you mean on the sides of the ligt how there are those phillip head plastic clips, or the ones underneath in the trunk where there are plastic clips that are screwed in from the top? I'm gonna go try and see if the plastic ones on the sides will come out then...
thanks, and I just want to be sure on which clip

give the phillips heads about 1/8 or 1/4 turn and you'll feel them release their grip. then simply pull the entire fastener out.

The light will then come loose from the bracket, and you unhook the wires. then use an (8mm??) socket to remove the two bolts on the rear deck and the bracket will come off and you're done.
