Anyone install a head unit...
no, I've already replaced head unit, speakers, and cable as well as put in amps. I'm connecting a neon light in my trunk and I was going to use the stock wiring instead of running another wire from behind the head unit (switch nearby) to trunk for light. Just need to know which color wire connects to back right or left speaker.
Yup.. just use any two wires in the grey cable. they all go to the rear stock amp, so they're not used now.. just make sure they're not connected to anything else (i.e. one wire isn't tied to ground anywhere.. sometimes automakers do that on certain types of stereos.)
if you had bose, then I'm not sure what kind of wires you'll have..

Ok...white/red stripe and black/red stripe is the rear right speaker, white/blue stripe and black/blue stripe is rear left
you do have to cut open the harness to the factory amp and get to the wires in the grey cover to utilize these..cant use the wires coming FROM the amp
Hope this helps
