Problems with power steering...

Well, I have an interesting one for ya'll... My power steering has been kinda funky for about a year now, but it's kinda mutated a little in the last few months.
Before, the power steering would cut out completely when I was at low speeds, like navigating a parking lot or moving around the driveway... Not all the time, only once in a blue moon.
Once the car heated up, it happened VERY infrequently, mebbe once every couple of months.
Nowadays, it doesn't do it at ALL, unless it's wet outside and I just start up the car. Once the car reaches normal operating temperature, it seems to be fine.
Yes, the fluid levels are right where they're supposed to be, and no, there is no apparent leakage. I haven't had to add fluid in about 8 months now.
Any ideas as to what it could be? SLipping belt or something?

Sounds like the pump itself is going bad. If the belts were slipping you would hear it. For the heck of it, check the belt tension.

Please dont use coat hangers and duct tape for a new pump.

<roflmao> It's not to the point where it needs ghetto-fixing... Yet...
I thought it might be the pump, I was hoping it wasn't, especially since it only does it now when it's wet. Thanx!
