that's the box that controls the keypad entry on GXEs
for people looking to change or get their code, you have to read one of the numbers off this box

if you're thinking of wiring the stock keyless entry into your SE and you dont have a FSM, good luck

it'll be a HUGE project even with the FSM

like everyone else said before, it's not at all worth the effort; get an aftermarket remote keyless entry

NO!

I'm just installing the aftermarket keyless as part of a remote starter on my 89'. I was just hoping someone would save me some digging time for the door lock wires... Lazy SOB aren't I?

cliff notes story: I cannot find the *(#)(*&$#$ door lock wires and was going to tap them from that box. I took a quick look, but couldn't find the wires. I'll do more diggin when I have the chance. I've got 2 weeks to finish my struts/remote start/stereo install.

ok, good
I figured that you knew better than that, but just making sure

I know the colors at the door harness and door lock timer (for later models) were grey/red for lock and light blue for unlock so if you can find those colors in there, take a look at those ones first
