Air Cond/Non-dash lighting..
Anyone have information about changing these? I saw a post about someone changing the "automatic climate control lighting", and it was about changing the lights inside the controls. I want to do something along those lines, but am a little unsure about how to do em (any how-to's out there? I'm assuming not otherwise everyone would have mad colored buttons & stuff)..
I'm pretty sure I can just pry my way into the window controls (thanks for the post on that), and the button lighting on the center console, but any how-to's on it would be appreciated.
My other question is this.... When you turn the lights on in your car, the center console pieces (ie, the ones surrounded by the buttons I was talking about) DIM. I don't want no dimming lights, and I think my lights look like trash if they ain't on all the way. Any advice on where I can get rid of the wire so they run on all the time brightly? I know it's not going to blind me, just look at the way your clock & air temperature controls look during the day, and at night.
During the day w/lights on, the clock is nearly invisible, whereas the air temp is easy to see. At night w/lights on, they look exactly the same. Why was this 'feature' put in? To prevent us all from driving with our lights on during the day? It's not like we blind people and I figure the brighter you are, the easier you are to see (to a point, running around with 8 fog lights at 100w each is a bit excessive, not to mention stupid, heh.) Anyone know how to kill the dim?
