Fogs and Wiring

Hey guys, I guess you could say I'm quasi-new to this forum and I promise you that I don't have a concept car. This is my first post, but I look up stuff in here all the time. Anyways, I got a 94SE and one of the owners before did not have the fogs replaced when he got in an accident. Instead, he replaced the front bumber with the gxe bumper and left all the wires in place. However, he cut off the wire harness that connects to the on/off switch. Is it worth it to splice wires and use the same wiring, or should I just buy aftermarkets and rewire the whole thing? Thanx.

either way just splice them in. red = power and black = ground. this way you'll have use of your stock switch and not have to worry about relays or wiring

do you have any pics to prove yours isn't a concept car? otherwise, I dont believe you

your wires behind the bumper should still be there, like Chris said just cut off the stock harness (unless you plan on putting stock fogs back on) and connect red to the positive side of your fogs and black to the negative

he cut off the wire harness that connects to the on/off switch
he cut off the harness inside the dash? I dont see any reason why he would remove the dash trim piece to cut this off, but if he did, you could just get a new harness from a junkyard and connect the wires onto the new one (the colors will be the same obviously)
or you could just get the wires where he cut them (there will be 4 - black, black/red, orange/blue, and red/yellow), if you connect the solid black (not black with red stripe) to the orange/blue wire, then your fogs will automatically come on regardless of the switch
