My car starts up strangly, and BMW lights
I own a 1991 Maxima and I've had problems starting it for about the past 6 months. I had the distributor cap changed (along with the thing that spins in the middle, i forget what thats called). It will always start (eventually), but sometimes I have to leave the key turned and I sit there and hear the car trying to start for sometimes as long as about 15 seconds. Other times it starts fine. It seems like it's worse when the weather is colder. Also, does anyone know which BMW headlights work for the 91 Maxima? Any response would be great, thanks.

haynes says when hard to start cold it could be
1. Battery dsicharged or low
2. Malfunctioning fuel system
3. Faulty cold start injector
4. Injector(s) leaking
5. Crank angle sensor rotor carbon tacked

Have you checked your starter. I know i ran into a problem like that sort of. I checked my starter and I had to get the wires replaced cause they where old ever since that starts up fine. Or try tapping on the starter I dont know just trying to help ya out.
