Is it safe for a 2 in drop

I am redoing the whole suspension this weekend. I got new shocks sruts, and springs but the springs I got say that it will lower my car 2 inches will this be safe with 16 in wheels I dont need to put these on and find out it will rub. Plus I am getting new tires. now uneven tire wear is a result of what? The 2 front of mine now are wore on the inside of the car. Some guy told me it cause I dont have the right amount of air in each tire is this true?

hmmmmm

well the uneven tire wear is the fault of bad alignment, balancing, or possibly tire pressure (would have to be pretty bad to cause that). Thats my 2 cents. I think youll be fine with a 2" drop with 16's.

curious to know what springs you have that lower 2 inches. i thought sprint was only 1.8 inches and intrax 1.75. but i do know that suspensionmax a guy on ebay says sprint lowers 2 inches. idk maybe it's after they settle but yeh what set up and struts u got also? peace

Well i have Intrax springs (1.75 drop) and KYB GR2 struts and i have 16" wheels wrapped in 225/50/16 rubber, the drop and look is great but i experience a little rubbing but i think that is due to my offset. If you have a correct offset you will be fine...I think

I love the 225/50/16 better... i used to have 205/55/16 but i wanted wider tires for better grip and im glad i did it. The 50 profile isnt that much different from the 55 but i like the 50 better anyways
Well good luck in you decision.

get your camber adjusted. i'm pretty sure that will solve the irregular tire wear.

I think it is i need a alignment cause my car pulls to the right. I am gonna try that first if that doesnt work with the new tires I quit.

You may want to keep in ming that if your running a wider tire then you may get some uneven wear due to the inability to adjust camber on the maxima. I was getting a little uneven wear and a small tug to the right. I took my car to a place with a laser allignment system and they alligned it perfectly, still pulls a little and I still experiance a little uneven wear. Well, at least the camber thing is my theory. Maybe someone can give me a more edjucated answer here.

you'll need proper equipment to be able to read the camber, but most alignment shops can adjust it a bit. there's some play in the two lower strut bolts.. loosen those and you can adjust it a bit. you can also drill out one hole a bit larger there and have more adjustment.. pretty common to see on cars that have been lowered quite a bit.

My Max is dropped and i havent wore out my tires "REAL BAD". I think the max looks good droped but it has to be done correctly. Before i got the tires that i currently have on the car i had a set of tires on the front for over a year and on the rear for 2 years.

My old tires were 205/55/16 and the new tires are 225/50/16. The older tires were worn out but not down to the wires or anything that severe.
