93 Maxima VG/VE engine blocks
93 Maxima VG/VE engine blocks
I had figured that Nissan made a set of DOHC heads and installed them on the block in place of the SOHC heads in the Maxima for 1993.
I figured it would make more sense to do it that way because the cams for one thing are contained in the heads and also it would be cheaper because Nissan would not have to make a new block for the DOHC configuration.
If anyone has any engine breakdown sheets on the DOHC for the '93 Maxima please let me know as the Haynes manual that I have only shows the teardown of the SOHC engine.
Thanks in advance.

Re: 93 Maxima VG/VE engine blocks
I know where this is going so I found this http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....gine#post4561. So in order for you to use DOHC heads you need a VG30 block made after 3/1987. Now assuming you get DE heads, how much clearance will be between the radiator and firewall? The search will guide you.
