I saw this posted on NissanX for a 4th gen and it intrigued me. Notice the phrase "By part number (320B0-40U67), it's for a 97-99 maxima, though through looking on the internet, it also fits all maxima's from 1987-2001". The only difference i see so far is starter relocation. I'll go check my crappy bellhousing that's laying in the garage and see if there are any differences.

Shure looks alot like my tranny. The axles might not be the same lenght though.

 

yeah, i thought that too on the axles. it actually looks like the axle hole on the bellhousing side is closer to the bell housing and higher up than our trannies but i'll go check tomorrow on my housing. that would be sweet if a later model tranny would fit. we could get the extremely overpriced lsd from cattman
