Wussup everybody, i am redoing my audio setup and I have a 93gxe and i just got some new 6.5 pioneer 3ways and I was reading some past posts on speaker installation and I came across some talk of an "installation bracket" I just wanted to know what that means and/or what it's purpose is and i will be replacing the back speakers with pioneer 6x9 3ways and I'm doing all the installtion myself and any input is very welcomed, and as for bypassing the stock amp is that difficult. If it's possible can I get some links to some of your how to sites. Thanx alot

if you've got the non-bose, here's how to bypass the amplifier in the rear..

as for the installation brackets, once you pull off your fton door panels to remove the stock speakers, you'll see what we're talking about.. the oem speaker is a 4x6 up front.. you can either modify the bracket already in the door, or you could make a new one out of wood and fiberglass.. I recommend making a new one, as the thin plastic the stock one is made from won't hold up very well against a 6.5" speaker.. just too weak.
hope that helps.

Hmm you'll probably have to make brackets any size u put..im not sure though..i made panels out of MDF for 6.5" speakers..they were kind of a tight fit though (window almost hits when i roll it down). In the back, for 6x9's, you'll have to get brackets out of a bose system car. The nonbose came with 6.5's back there and no brackets for 6x9's.
Im sure someone here has a website that has all this stuff on it but i dont know what it is
