Door Lights Always On

Door Lights Always On
My 91's alternator died. I put an 89's alternator in. Worked good but the battery light faded in and out. Mecahnics said defective alternator not putting out enough amps...correct voltage but not enough amperage. While I'm looking for another alternator, the door lights suddenly come on and will not go off unless I pull the ELECTRONIC BAT fuse out. The dome is fine. The crazy thing is that the battery light doesn't come on anymore. Someone mentioned a bad/blown 'entry control module'. Any suggestions besides spending major dollars?
If it was a computer I could fix the damn thing!

You sure the door light thing isn't the door pin that's faulty? I know it sounds simple, but that was my initial thought after reading that.
