my factory cd/am/fm/tape will not power on but when i turn my lights on, it lights up. my cruise control does not work either but the light comes on when you turn it on, on the dash. what could be my problem i checked and changed the fuses for the audio 10 amp and the bose 20 amp? i am just running out of ideas. ANY IDEAS ANYONE?

 

ok here is another clue to the problem. the guy i bought it from says the stereo come on from time to time. now my next question is maybe a loose wire going into the fuse box. is this common?

 

i would suggest purchasing an inexpensive test light or meter you have no constant or ignition power and to find out which one you dont have you need to take the radio out and test the wires and you might want to puchase a wireing harness for an aftermarket stereo because it will tell you what the wires are and did you check all the fuses because i think the radio fuse is just for ignition, constant power is on another fuse. if its a borken wire just run another wire from behind the radio to the fuse box or steering column and tie it in
