4th Gen Intake Pipes?

I really don't know much about cars, but I was wondering if a 4th Gen Intake pipe will fit correctly in a 3rd Gen. I'm having trouble finding places that sell Intake pipes specifically for 3rd Gens, if you have some links, I would greatly appreciate it too. Thanks.

You can check at www.custommaxima.com or Place Racing or Warpspeed performance or cattman. They all sell intakes for our 3 gens.
I also agree and I think that the fourth gens would fit but I don't know the difference between them.
Also use the search function in the top right hand corner of your screen. A lot of guys will flame you asking stupid questions.

Do you guys think a frankencar mid-pipe would fit? I would still be using my Stillen pop-charger at the end. What do you guys think?

They might the best thing to do is ask a 4th gen the diameter and see if it will fit or if you have a 4th gen as your friend maybe you two can take it off and test to see if it will fit.

that is exactly what I am going to do, he's going to order his soon, we he gets it I will try it out on my car. I would do the CAI but it gets me scared at times because of the water issue

not a problem, actually hopefully he will get it soon but I heard frankencar can sometimes be on back order but when it comes in I will attempt putting the mid-pipe on my VE and if it works taking pictures.

I really don't see why they won't fit it looks the same but the TB might have a different hookup. I might try and test fit an injen intake from a fourth gen. It just goes down the side of the engineinstead of through the fender well. I think if the frankencar fits then I will test fit the injen and if it doesn't fit then I will sell it to a fourth gen.

It should fit if it has the adapter. We are talking about fourth gen piping for a cold air intake.

D-sta,
Any luck with the frankencar?

actually I called frankencar and they shipped it out today since they were waiting on couplings, as soon as I get it I will post about my test fitting of the frankencar mid-pipe.

Sounds good. I am looking at completing my intake very soon.
How come your not running on a cold air intake? Wouldn't improve your quarter times?

Well I never ran the quarter mile yet, I will after I install my new clutch and possibly a flywheel, I am not very sure about the flywheel yet. I am going to get a CAI in the future but I want to see if this mid-pipe will work first, I am also scared about hydro-locking my engine due to the water. If the mid-pipe works I will keep it for a while and then eventually get the CAI from either place racing or warpspeed.
