928S and 3rd gen Maxima

yes. and that is exactly all that it was for me, too, a "phase." unless you can afford a 911, a later model at that, and FURTHERMORE afford to match the price of the car in maintenance costs over the term of your ownership of it, it is a lose/lose situation. plus the parts on those cars, porsches, bimmers, audis, all those euro boxes, are just absolutely, completely through the roof. so much so that i actually dislike the whole "getting hooked into the european performance car" thing. especially when nissan makes awesome products that, depending on the level, will match a porsche or exceed it.

Well, I let you guys in on a little secret. Porsches being hard to work on is a bunch of mass hysteria. Yes, it can be expensive but, it really isn't as hard as you might think. I know because I am a die-hard Porsche fanatic, eat sleep and breathe Porsche, and I am rebuilding one at the moment. It helps to have the factory repair manual and it is recommended to buy the factory tools necessary for doing certain jobs. Pretty much all older Porsches aren't TOO bad to work on (some are a PITA) but newer 964's, 993's, 996's and Boxsters are better off taking to the dealership unless you are really devoted. Besides, it's all worth it when you get to drive one you've worked on.

Anyways, back to Maximas. (sorry to get OT)
