ECU keeps blowing! shortage!?!?!HELP
well i thought i fixed the problem by putting a new ECU but it did not solve the problem. what happened first is that the car would crank but not start, like it wanted to start but it couldn't. Last time the fuel pump did not work because the relay for the fuel pump was bad.So the mechanic told me the only thing that was wrong was the ECU shortage in the fuel system and it seems to mess up the ground. Now the pump works cause u can hear it but the car will not start. The fuel is getting into the car cause u can smell gasoline from the exhaust. So the relay must be good for the fuel pump. I think the ECU is blown again, but i dont know why. Isn't there a safety thing so the ECu wont mess up? There seems to be a short somewhere but i dunno where to find it. The short is dealing only with the fuel system. What should i look for in order to find the problem. WHAT TO DO!?
i dunno if it is called the ignition module, but what the mechanc told me is to check by pulling the plug wire and seeing if it sparks, if the guy installed my plug wires wrong could that made my ECU fry?
