has anyone found a after markey fog light that fits on the factory fog light bracket? I got a set of small light but I like the look of the larger square lights with the stillen front lip.

are you just wanting aftermarket or are your factory ones rusted. The reason I ask is because you can get the lens (the entire assy. with the reflector part and all) for like $25 from courtesy.

I bought 2 new ones for my car because one was rusted and busted and the other one looked bad compared to the new one.

fogs

i know this kinda doesnt have to do with your question, but i put hella 550 fog lights on my max for better lighting, and they look nearly identical to the stock fogs. they dont use the stock brackets though, you'll have to drill new mounting points. the hellas are rugged and bright to the point that i get flashed sometimes despite the fact that they are aimed down. they run about 70 bucks at most pep boys or autozones. ill try to get my cardomain page up so i can show you guys some pics of them. hope that helps

I was thinking of doing the same thing. The stock ones dont really throw that much light in my opinion. Did you just re-use the factory wiring etc. A write up and some pics would be great. I was hoping you could use the same bracket somehow. Thanks,
Steve

I got some after market ones that were like 50 bucks, i just used the stock wiring and switch it was pretty easy. but I think the stock ones look better.

my max didnt come with fogs so i had to do the wiring myself, but i would imagine that you could just use the stock wiring. i dont think you can use the same bracket, but im not sure bc ive never actually checked out a stock fog light up close. you can find pics of the hellas on a couple different websites that sell them, that might help. i will be doing a writeup on installing them, and how much light they throw out as soon as i can borrow a digi-cam and it stops being like 2 degrees outside!

Write up for installing Pilot 1055's into stock switch:

I know they're not the Hella's, but the procedure should be similar. This write up will allow you to use the stock wiring and a factory switch, so good luck.

My Foglamp write up

If this stuff doesn't work for you, I'm sorry. Just thought it's a good place to wiring info, etc.
