I just put a jim wolf technology pop charger on my 89 max. it fit fine and installed pretty easy but when i'm running the car it makes this noise. it sound like you can hear the air flowing into the engine. its not just a little noise its loud enough that you can hear it inside the car. I just wanted to know if this is normal or if there is somthing wrong with my setup.....thanks

 

hehe relax it's normal. the open air filter just draws in more air than the restrictive stock air box.

Yep, even at idle if you pop the hood you can hear the intake go "AAAHHHHHHAAAAAAAA".

For fun, keep the hood popped and rev the engine with your hand. WHHHOOOOSSSSHHHH.

I love that sound!
