Front Suspension Queastion
Hi Everybody,
Sweet fourm!!!
I have a 1993 Maxima and I beleive the front struts are bad. When I go down the highway and go over a small hump in the road, the whole front end just bounces bigtime. Now it is starting to creek when I go over bumps at low speed too.
Can someone E-mail me the things that I might need to buy online for this? I have the power and comfort button on the console too.
Thanks a lot!!!

Power button on the console I believe has nothing to do with the suspension, it has to do with the way the AUTO transmission switches gears. If you had electronic shocks you can probably only buy them at the dealer which will cost an arm and a leg. The most common replacement struts for our 3rd gen maxima are KYB GR-2's and Tokico blues. The Tokico's are a little expensive because they are sport struts and KYB-GR-2's are considered regular OEM replacements. If no one ever replaced the front then I assume the rears cartridges were't replaced either, the rear strut assembly consist of replacing a cartridge. You can buy KYB GR-2's at www.foreignautoparts.cc You can buy the tokico from www.shox.com or www.Stillen.com.
KYB GR-2's go for like $180.00 shipped for the front and back.
Tokico Blues go for like $300.00 shipped for the front and back.
