NOt necessarily...........

unless MD law is different, heres an example: I got a ticket for $135(60 in a 45) in March or May '00(can't really remeber) I missed the Novemebr '00 court date and still hadn't payed and I just recently got the suspension notice two weeks ago, so of course NOW I payed!!!!! either way speeding has no excuses, except for extreme emergencies, so Andrew you might as well just pay it unless there was an emergency!!!!

in maryland you have 10 days after the court date to pay your fine. upon which they suspend your license. but MD is terrible when it comes to any kind of Traffic laws

First, I would call the courts to determine the next move and to find out if any actions were presented by the court due to failure to show. Usually, you can just reschedual, then again, depending on law, you may have waived your rights to contest the ticket by failing to appear. So, call, find out if they've suspended your liscense or if you can reschedual or just have to pay. Typically, you don't have to go to court unless you are contesting the ticket, if your not, just pay it.
