I think another injector went bad

I just had one replaced a couple weeks ago, now it's hesitating and sputtering just like it did then. My good ol' VE sure doesn't like that new 2K3 I bought and it's making me pay dearly! I sent an e-mail to Courtesy Nissan for a price on oem injectors. My regular dealership is just getting too expensive for service unless it's a warantee job for the 2K3. I may try to buy the parts my self and have some one local instal them. Maybe Rob. Is there anywhere else that anyone knows of who would have a better than normal price on new, stock injectors?
Thanks.

Brian, isn't there another Nissan dealership that gives .orgy members discounts? Like Brown & Brown Nissan, I think? Or what about carparts (or carpart, I'm not sure) dot com??

Just a couple of suggestions...

They put on that Consult diagnostic thing, or what ever they call it. It pointed straight to a #2 cylinder injector failure. It was fine for the last two weeks since it was replaced. Correct my if I'm wrong, but isn't the #2 cylinder the first one on the back side of the motor on the passenger side (front) of the engine? I think it's:
2 4 6
1 3 5
Sound right?

yeah man that sucks...I been through that though, no fun. I guess going with remanufactured ones is out of the question since you already have a new one in there. yeah thats cyl. 2.

This post kind of makes me laugh (not about your problem though). My '90 Max had been running perfectly lately, I bring home my '03 Max and guess what my '90 hasn't run the same since. I guess its the payback for bringing the '03 home.

If it wasn't just a piece of machinery, then I'd say that's EXACTLY what we have going on bro. I'm going to have to get these injectors replaced and then have the car immediately detailed to show it I still love it.

Do you have a valid e-mail address for him? The one I tried came back as undeliverable.

I know, I know, but it was done the very next day before I even saw your post. I got prices from Kaleb at Courtesy. $80-something a piece, plus the o-rings. I think there is a gasket between the plenum and the intake manifold that should probably be replaced too. I think I'm going to take it to Chapman Nissan at the beginning of next week to make sure this is a different injector. Just have them put it on the diagnostic and nothing else. If it is a different one, then I think it's safe to say that they've just had it. If it's the same one then something else has to be causing it to fail. If Rob is ok with installing them I'll order just 5 of them (Since one is only 2 weeks old) from Courtesy and have hime do them.

Alright! Don't rub it in. I heard him too, but AFTER it was done. I just bought a 2K3 4-5 months earlier than I was ready and I just sent out my insurance bill for over $500. I was trying not to double the bill. It certainly didn't work though.

I think that was the old one. redmaxpa007 got it for me. May be seeing Rob tomorrow. Jeff is going to be at Rob's shop tomorrow getting who knows what installed. May have to stop by and see if he wants to do this. At least I can flaunt the 2K3 while I'm there!
