again with the rebuild...

how much am i looking at for a rebuild? its real simple, i have low compression on the rear 3 cylinders, and i'd assume valve seals should be done along with rings, and whatever else usually gets done (T-chain/tensioner, waterpump, oil pump..).
how much should i be expecting to pay?
also, i am capable of pulling the motor and bringing to get rebuilt, so that should save a considerable amount of money.
thanks

if you can pull the engine yourself why not consider getting a new rebuilt engine and putting it in, depending on where you get it rebuilt it may turn out cheaper that way.

i'm looking for a ballpark on how much it'd be to rebuild...how much would a newer motor go for? i've seen decent VEs with less than 100k for upwards of $1900-$3000, i figure rebuilding would be slightly less expensive if i pulled it out myself.

You can get a nicely built Paeco short block for 2k. An that is a precision build piece. Look at the stage I and Stage II short blocks.

cost a friend of mine $350+ to get his KA24E from california to RI..and he didnt even have it shipped to his house, his dad had to pick it up at some loading dock. the shipping was more than the cost of his motor.
