Engine Miss

Look for a little help here. My 94 GXE (VG30e) has developed a ver stubborn and very unpredictable engine miss after having the trans rebuilt. Sometimes it acts as though running on 4 cylinders, sometimes like its running on 5 1/2. I've done the plugs, wires, cap and rotor, and sprayed every vaccuum line I could find with carb cleaner (a suggestion from a friend who used to build race engines) and haven't been able to find anything. Anyone have any other ideas as to what I should look for? I ran the trouble codes from the onboard computer and everything came back clean.

ARe there certain times it does this? Like only when cold, at certain rpms, under a load, etc. That might help in pinpointing some possible scenarios.

From what I have learned, the miss is usually due to a leaky injector o-ring. But you can check all of you ignition wires to make sure they all snapped in place.

The miss is at its worst when the engine is cold and first started. The frustrating thing is that it isn't consistant. Sometimes its very bad when first started and other times its much less severe. When it is bad all you have to do is give it some gas and it gets better immediately. When its all warmed up there is just a minor vibration and hesitation, but a noticable difference in mileage.

Pull each plug wire. If you pull one and it DOESN'T run worse, it could be that wire, plug or injector.

Also check your fuel pressure at startup, idle, running(if possible)
