Alarm not dis-engaging

so i have to rip out the stock alarm system. is this under the dash where i have to unscrew a bunch of **** or is it the thing on the left side where it just pops out and shows u a bunch of things that look like fuses?

the stock alarm can be disabled by just unplugging it. it is one connector.

I've been having this problem for about 3 years or so now....it seems to really only do it in the winter. Goon9 helped me with the issue by showing me what to disconnect under the dash....it's a metal box below the steering wheel that is about 6 inches long, 4 inches wide and maybe 2 inches thick....good luck, wish i could help you more with photos, but i am 2500 miles from my car still.

OKAY so i undid the dash cover thing and located the alarm.. disconnected it. NOW i have a REAL problem... the key hole wont turn at all it seems to have locked it self and now i cant do shiit -.- please help.

no idea there, bud....but i'm thinking weird coincidence, because the lock itself is mechanical and not tied to the box in that way?

did you try wiggling the steering wheel to unlock the key cylinder?

okay so i had the wrong box. it said cont assy on it and it was a metal box with the words 'theft warning' on it now the car starts and runs fine again thanks for all the help i will post pics once i get the car pimped =]] thanks again u guys were very helpful i will be on here more often

it's just a matter of timing and sources.
maximas are hard to source these days for cheap.
I did just pick up a 95 Grand Caravan LE for $250 though.
2 digit pricing is long gone though, even sub $500 is hard to find.
