Cannot remove spark plugs

I was going to inspect my plugs today but just couldn't remove them. None of them...
How much force can I apply to the wrench without worrying to break the plugs?
Will WD-40 sprayed to the plug area help?

Re: Cannot remove spark plugs

hmm....try wd40, though i'm not too sure what it will do if ignited so read what the can says about flammability first. next time, use anti-seize gel on the plugs before putting them in. g/l

on second thought, i HAVE broken a plug trying to get it out. the good thing is its just the ceramic part that broke and so i could use as much force as I wantecd to remove it. You might be okay just twisting it out as hard as you can.

yeah I had this problem with one of mine (the 90 I had) and i sprayed wd40 down there and let it sit for a while. I was able to get the plug out after that.

you may have to spray a good bit and let it soak over night. Try PB blaster too...it works well.

After I got the plug out I turned the motor over a little with the plugs out to spray out some of the lubricant.

Marvel Mystery Oil

Apply Marvel Mystery Oil it is thinner than most other oils. Apply it cold and then apply it when the engine is warm, not hot. Do it for a couple of days. Then have a good breaker bar, not a rachet, with a socket that has 6 points inside the socket, so you do not strip the bolt pattern off the the plug. If you can move it back and forth. Loosen a little, tighten a little. Easy does it back and forth works better than forcing it one way. Go back and forth with the breaker bar. Apply more Mystery Oil. You will get them out that way. Take a few days to do it if you have to.
