What kind of Engine do I have !

Ok I realise this is a dumb question for most of you.
Ive been a long time maxima lover. But Now im actually an owner.
I have a 93 5spd full leather, electric this and that..............

What I wanna know is what model engine I have ?
Like is it a VE, VG, or so on.
How do I find out , is there anything on the car itself or the engine that would indicate what it is ? Or what.

Also my power locks work sometimes and more then often don't. Over the winter it was an issue off and on. Now it's pretty much a regular thing.

Wait theres more, I got a problem with my temperature control panel. Sometimes I can see the temp and sometimes I can't see anything at all. Also at night if I turn off my lights the light on the temp panel is brighter and easier to read. Also I can only use the HIGH setting on my temperature. low, mid and whatever dont work.

If any of you can help me fix these problems, It would be greatly appreciated.

thank you

If you see the vavle cover says , Nissan 24 vavle twin cam v6 3000 then it is VE-dohc = double over head cam.

door lock problem is most likely the door lock timer. I fix them for a small fee... email me about it. blehm@utulsa.edu
you have digital climate control too? cooool. never seen it on a VE. that's something I don't want to touch though.

Are you sure of this, Diego? The build date on my car is 04/93 and I've got an SE VE AUTO In retrospect, though, I've heard a lot of people say that, and really haven't commented for or against it, til now

ok let me clear that up.

5spd was AVAILABLE in SE trim line only. auto was availiable across all trim lines.
