Got some free head light bulbs, but I don't know if I can risk burning up my stock harness. Anybody runs this wattage safely on the stock headlight harness?

dont use the ones from SW autoworks because they are just harnesses. I would recomend using the ones with the relays and all. That way you get a good strong voltage to the light and if something does happen then the rest of your harness is protected.
here is the link to the harness I got.
Headlight harness
I highly recomend this part. It is high quality and easy to hook up.

i did the mod with the same ones awsm66 has with the relays and all and it looks great, much better than stock, although the high beams dont work right. Its ok cause the lights are bright enough where you dont even really need the high beams that much. The light also looks nice and white and there is no splicing involved. all you really need to get this done is grounding it to the car and there are plenty of spots near headlights to do so. then after that is basically plug and play in to the old socket and your done. I guess the only lighting mods that are better are hids and the bmw headlight conversion.

for the 9005/9006 setup how did you splice them to make it work with the stock headlight setup? i'm wondering because i may upgrade the harnesses when i do the euro spec bmw headlight conversion in the next few weeks. i imagine you would just get one headlight harness for each light like one 9005 and one 9006 and just plug the upgraded harness to that or what? it that way or is there another way to do it? i figure if im upgrading to bmw headlight i might as well buy another new harness since the color output looks good on the stock i imagine its even better with the bmw's.
